The Type-Specific Clinic is our flagship course and designed especially for first-time attendees. However, returning pilots are welcome to attend any or all sessions in the Type-Specific Clinic. We guarantee you will learn things you didn’t know – even if you are a highly experienced Beechcraft pilot, just as many attendees are.
The initial classroom begins with a review of power setting for the Bonanza and Baron to obtain the performance required for instrument and visual approaches.
This is followed by Bonanza and Baron systems review for pilots who are new
to Beechcraft products. In addition, there is a class on the Pilot’s Operating Handbook [POH], as well as weight and balance performance implications.
The initial pilots then join the recurrent pilots for training on topics of mutual interest.
Depending on the participating instructors, there may also be training on departure procedures, emergency operations, decision making, weather available on ForeFlight, etc.
No matter how experienced you are you’ll pick up new tips in the “Using GPS in IFR — Using Your Tools” session, which also covers portable navigations devices. We guarantee you will not find a more informative session anywhere.
You’ll also have the opportunity to walk around your airplane with an expert who will coach you on proper care and maintenance.
During the Type-Specific Clinic you will:
- Explore best practices for flying your Beech Bonanza or Baron “by the numbers.”
- Refresh your knowledge of emergency procedures, aircraft systems and more.
- Ask questions of the most experienced and down-to-earth instructors you’ll find in any flight training program.
- Learn from fellow pilots how they are using the latest technologies, devices and iPad apps. This is the most up-to-the minute information you’ll find anywhere.
- Have a great time – we guarantee it.
